    Tony Schwartz: Profile

    Tony Schwartz is president and founder of The Energy Project, a company that helps organizations and their leaders build and sustain capacity by learning to more skillfully manage energy. Tony has spent 30 years studying, writing about and teaching people how to change, grow, and perform more effectively in all dimensions of their lives. His most recent book, The Power of Full Engagement, co-authored with Jim Loehr, was a No. 1 Wall Street Journal bestseller, spent four months on The New York Times bestseller list, and has been translated into 21 languages. As president of LGE Performance Systems for four years, Tony co-developed the "Full Engagement Training System" and co-authored The Making of the Corporate Athlete, for the Harvard Business Review, an article which received worldwide attention.

    Tony began his career as an award-winning journalist. He was a reporter for The New York Times, an Associate Editor at Newsweek, a staff writer for New York and Esquire magazines and a columnist for Fast Company. Tony co-authored the No. 1 worldwide bestseller The Art of the Deal with Donald Trump as well as Work in Progress with Michael Eisner. He also wrote What Really Matters: Searching for Wisdom in America.

    Tony has given keynotes, workshops and extended training to senior executives at a wide range of Fortune 500 companies, including Wachovia Bank, Gillette, General Motors, Credit Suisse First Boston, General Dynamics, Salomon Smith Barney, the Estée Lauder Companies, McDonalds, Goldman Sachs, Sara Lee, American Express, Unilever and JPMorgan Chase. He has also spoken at organizations including the National Security Agency, the Harvard Business School, Brown University Medical School, the Urban Land Institute, the Committee of 200 and the Conference Board. As a coach, Tony has worked with many of CEOs and senior leaders. A frequent guest on radio and television, Tony has appeared on shows such as Oprah, Good Morning America, Charlie Rose and National Public Radio's Weekend Edition.
