TERRY GROSSMAN, MD is a leading expert on anti-aging and life extension therapies, and the founder and medical director of Frontier Medical Institute in Golden, Colorado.

He is co-author of TRANSCEND: Nine Steps to Living Well Forever, published by Rodale. Dr. Grossman's coauthor is the world-renowned inventor and futurist Ray Kurzweil. TRANSCEND: Nine Steps to Living Well Forever is Dr. Grossman's third book after Fantastic Voyage published in 2004 and The Baby Boomers' Guide to Living Forever in 2000.

One of the world's leading proponents of anti-aging medicine, Dr. Grossman strongly believes that humanity stands on the verge of radical increases in longevity. Through his clinical practice in Denver, he has developed numerous protocols for measuring and modifying biological age and promoting longevity.

As medical director of Frontier Medical Institute, he devotes most of his professional time to running his nutritional medicine practice with emphasis on intravenous chelation therapy, vitamin and nutritional therapies, as well as preventive, anti-aging medicine. He utilizes bio-identical hormone replacement therapy where indicated.

Dr. Grossman is currently working on a number of research projects relating to novel treatments for diseases ranging from age-related macular degeneration of the eye to coronary heart disease. He is currently the medical director of Health Innovations, a 501 (c) 3 research foundation and is currently involved in a study of high dose intravenous vitamin C in the treatment of hepatitis C.

In addition to his three books, Dr. Grossman has written numerous articles for health related magazines. He lectures frequently on topics related to complementary and anti-aging medicine throughout the United States and internationally. He has been featured as the keynote speaker at the First International Congress of Anti-Aging Medicine, Tokyo Japan (March 2002), Solal Technologies Anti-Aging Congress, Johannesburg South Africa (January 2003), Samsung Cheil Hospital Symposium on Anti-Aging Medicine, Seoul, South Korea (September, 2003) and the Japanese Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine Tokyo, Japan (September, 2005). He has also helped introduce chelation therapy in Japan through a series of workshops and seminars.

A 1968 graduate of Brandeis University (Waltham, MA) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics and English, Dr. Grossman received his M.D. from the University of Florida School of Medicine (Gainesville, FL) in 1979. Following his postgraduate training at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, he spent 15 years (from 1980-1995) working as a community family doctor in the Colorado mountains, during which time he delivered almost 600 babies.

Dr. Grossman undertook the study of nutritional medicine in 1994 and began to offer nutritional treatments to his patients at that time. Over the course of the past nine years, he has built the Frontier Medical Clinic into one of the largest nutritional medicine centers in the country, where thousands of treatments are administered each year.
