Leach began his television career on KABC-TV in Los Angeles and WABC-TV in New York. In 1980, he joined CNN's People Tonight and also reported for Entertainment Tonight for its first three years. In 1983 Leach launched Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous and after 14 unprecedented seasons is still seen today in over 30 countries around the world. Leach has produced and hosted over 300 hours of TV programs and specials. In September 1993 he began hosting a nightly primetime call-in talk show to launch the new Television Food Network, a 24 hour cable channel for which he also acted as spokesman with cable affiliates. His weekend series for The Food Network Gourmet Getaways began September 1996 with Leach showcasing the world's greatest vacation resorts and their chefs and recipes. Episodes of the one hour series were filmed in North Africa, Hawaii, Europe and Asia. One of his newest TV projects is the development of Appointment TV for the PIN joint venture between Jones Interactive Cable, Cox Cable and Rogers Cable. He is also producing a 1999 series of specials for Court-TV's cable network. Leach will launch a full service worldwide web interactive luxury shopping mall: Simply Irresistible in 1999 with its own cable-tv weekly program. Leach is also a restaurant/chef consultant to the new Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and plans a restaurant in partnership with Drew Neiporent saluting the worlds top 50 chefs. Leach's best selling cookbook, Entertaining With The Rich And Famous in 1992 published by Viking in both hardback and softcover was followed up by Healthy Lifestyles in October 1995. He previously authored three books and is currently in the early stages of his first novel. A resident of Antigua in the West Indies, he is chairman of the board of directors of The Jumby Bay Club. Leach maintains a home in Connecticut but more often is traveling the world for his various projects - up to 300 days and over 250,000 miles a year!
