Michelle Gielan is an expert in the psychology of success and happiness. She speaks to executives at Fortune 500 companies about the science of positive communication, and she appears each week on FOX News Chicago as a health and wellness contributor in her own TV segment “Manic Monday.” Michelle is also a regular contributor for Psychology Today.
Michelle is a former national anchor at CBS News, where she anchored two of the network’s newscasts and was a correspondent for The Early Show. In 2009, after seeing one news report after another on how the recession was crippling people emotionally, Michelle produced “Happy Week” at CBS News, a series focusing on fostering happiness in relationships, the workplace, and at home during tough economic times.
Prior to CBS News, Michelle anchored and reported for FOX News Chicago, NBC El Paso NewsChannel9, and nationally-distributed Channel One News in Los Angeles, CA.
Michelle speaks to Fortune 500 companies, schools and organizations about the power of positive communication to drive success and fuel happiness. Her client list includes Adobe, KPMG, Children’s Hospital Boston, Crain’s Chicago, and Bank of America.
Michelle holds an advanced degree from the University of Pennsylvania in positive psychology and is a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Applied Positive Research. She graduated cum laude in Computer Engineering.
