Linda Kaplan Thaler: Profile
Linda Kaplan Thaler is a best-selling author and television personality. Her latest book titled, The Power of Small (Broadway Books), argues that “sweating the small stuff” makes a revolutionary difference; Linda and Robin Koval co-authored this April 2009 release that debuted as a Wall Street Journal bestseller. Their previous book, The Power of Nice: How to Conquer the Business World with Kindness (Doubleday), demystifies the notion that nice “guys” finish last. The Power of Nice launched as a New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller list. Linda and Robin’s first book, Bang! Getting Your Message Heard in a Noisy World, a savvy marketing book, was also a national bestseller.
Linda Kaplan Thaler is CEO and Chief Creative Office of The Kaplan Thaler Group, which she founded in 1997. Her billion dollar firm is ranked by industry publications as one of the fastest growing advertising agencies in America. The agency’s blue chip clients include Procter & Gamble (Dawn and Swiffer, among other brands), Aflac (yes, the famous quacking duck!), Continental Airlines, Champion, Kodak, Kraft Foods, Lunesta, Pfizer, Trojan and US Bank.
Linda’s creative talents have earned her the prestigious Women in Communications 2000 Matrix Award for advertising and the 2001 Advertising Woman of the Year Award from Advertising Women of New York. In December 2009, Linda was presented with a NYWIFT Muse Award, and was the first woman in advertising to receive it.
