Prior to founding Integrated Leadership Concepts, Inc., in 1992, Dr. Cassidy was Director of Total Quality Management for SICPA, Securink, Inc., an international manufacturing firm that supplies security inks to the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing. SICPA also provides 95% of the ink for the world's currency. During her tenure she was noted for significantly improving quality and productivity, reducing waste and rework and improving customer satisfaction.

She has helped thousands of private, public, and non-profit managers and their staffs learn the secrets of high performance from both an organizational and a personal perspective. She speaks, provides seminars and consults nationally and internationally with Fortune 100 and 500 companies. She is fluent in French and Spanish and has some knowledge of German, Russian and Italian. During 1997-1998 she hosted "Integrated Leadership Concepts Presents,"a cable TV show in Washington, DC in which she discussed business issues across many levels of the organization. The shows continue to run in the Washington, DC area.

In 1998, she participated in a private sector Executive Ambassador Program to the People's Republic of China. Also, in 1998, Dr. Cassidy was named "Woman of the Year"by the Governing Board of Editors of the American Biographical Institute and in 1994, she was named "Distinguished Consultant in Quality"in the International Who's Who in Quality. Joan attributes her success to her ability to "walk and talk"in all four quadrants of the "whole-brain"model.
