It is a moment we will remember forever--Jeff Blatnick dropping to his knees and bringing his hands together in thanks for winning the Gold Medal in wrestling at the 1984 Summer Olympic Games. But there is much more to this Olympic Champion. Just two years earlier, Jeff found out that he had Hodgkin's Disease. After a series of daily radiation treatments, he resumed training. The result was merely the impossible, otherwise known as a Gold Medal.

Unbelievably, just one year after his remarkable athletic achievement, Jeff was again diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease. This time, six months of chemotherapy were prescribed to put the cancer into remission. Jeff received his last chemotherapy treatment on Valentine's Day, 1986. He showed up for the occasion in pure Blatnick fashion--wearing a tuxedo.

Today, Jeff is one of the premier motivational speakers in the country. His personalized presentation is, simply, first-rate. Jeff's enthusiasm, sincerity, and love of life have kept him focused on a single purpose: overcoming adversity. Using personal experiences, Jeff guides people through the different perspectives we commonly formulate when facing challenges or adversity. Perception influences our attitude, our performance and our ability to set goals.

NBC has utilized his skills the past four Summer Olympic Games and he's ready to be part of the Olympic broadcasting team for Athens in 2004. ESPN, Bud Sports, FOX Sports and HDNET are some of the regional cable operators he has worked with.

Jeff's civic duties include: Member of The President's Council for Physical Fitness and Sport 1994-2002; Honorary Coach, Special Olympics New York Board of Directors; New York City Bid Committee 2012 Olympic Summer Games; Vice President U.S. Olympic Alumni; Chairman, Olympians for Olympians Relief Fund; and Board of Directors, Gilda's Club.

His television credits in 2003 include: the HBO series, OZ, as a correction officer; the History Channel as host of Games of Combat and History of Sport; on ESPN as facilitator the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships and Titan Games; and an appearance on HDNet in the Olympic Weightlifting American Open and Sunkist/ASU International Open.
