Jacques Chevron

    Jacques Chevron is a Principal Partner with JRC&A, the consulting firm he founded in 1985. He is an internationally-respected expert in branding strategy, global marketing and communication strategies and new product development. Since introducing his first new product in 1973 (Gamma tous tissus, a laundry detergent, introduced in France by the Colgate Palmolive Company) to more recent work for Pillsbury and Krupps, he has acquired more than 27 years experience working with many of the largest multinational firms, both in the US and overseas. He assists a broad array of domestic and international clients in consumer goods and services, light industry and venture capital.

    Mr. Chevron's recent experience includes developing worldwide strategies for two subsidiaries of DIAGEO Plc., one of the world's largest food companies, to impact its branding and new product development.

    Mr. Chevron's first job, after his graduation from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Lille was as a government economist in South America. Before starting his company, he was as a co-managing director for the Leo Burnett Company in Chicago and in Paris, France, with responsibility for accounts such as McDonald's, Marlboro, Seven-Up and more. He also worked at the NutraSweet Company, where he headed International marketing and communications.

    Mr. Chevron is an experienced speaker, and has delivered presentations at a variety of conferences and seminars. He recently spoke at the Strategic Research Institute, the Institute for International Research and the Management Roundtable. He has also guest lectured at the University of Illinois and at Purdue University. He is cited and published frequently, most recently in Advertising Age, Brand Week, The BBC, The Vending Times, International Parallels Quarterly, Marketing News, Pet Age and The Journal of Consumer Marketing.

    The first article he ever published in English, "Give your brand in marriage" (Ad Age, 1985) is currently used for defining the meaning of the word brand in the Web pages of the University of Vermont.
