George Morrisey One of the top authors, speakers, seminar leaders and consultants in the field of management, George Morrisey is Chairman of a management consulting firm, that specializes in helping organizations get the involvement and commitment of their key people in an effective planning process that leads to totally focused long- and short-term results. His background includes more than 20 years as a practicing manager and key specialist with several organizations in both the private and public sectors in addition to his service as a full time consultant since 1972. He has personally assisted more than 200 business, industrial, service, governmental and not-for-profit organizations in the areas of strategic and tactical planning. The author or co-author of 19 books, his latest, coauthored by Tom Sechrest and Wendy Warman, is Loud and Clear: How to Prepare and Deliver Effective Business and Technical Presentations, 4th Edition. He also recently published a three-book series, Morrisey on Planning, based on his extensive consulting experience. Their individual titles are: A Guide to Strategic Thinking: Building Your Strategic Foundation, A Guide to Long-Range Planning: Creating Your Strategic Journey, and A Guide to Tactical Planning: Producing Your Short-Term Results. In addition, he has written Creating Your Future: Personal Strategic Planning for Professionals, that takes the Strategic Planning Process which works so effectively in business and applies it to that most important business of all -- the planning of your career and your life. A professional's professional, George Morrisey received the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation in 1983 and was recognized in 1984 and is a member of the National Speakers Association's CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame. In addition, in 1994 George was the 16th annual recipient of the Cavett Award, named in honor of that association's founder, Cavett Robert. He is formerly a member of the Boards of Directors of the Association for Management Excellence (originally the International MBO Institute) and the National Speakers Association.
