Best-selling author of major works of nonfiction, Don Phillips is known for his ability to tell stories and bring history alive with crisp compelling prose. His trilogy on American leadership (The Founding Fathers On Leadership, Lincoln On Leadership, Martin Luther King, Jr. On Leadership) has won worldwide acclaim. His first book, Lincoln On Leadership, helped pave the way toward the creation of an entire new genre of books on historical leadership. Mr. Phillips has also collaborated on books with Norman Brinker, Mike Kryzyewski, Phil Mickelson, Greg Norman, Cal Ripken, Jr., and Lieutenant General Ricardo S. Sanchez. He is an accomplished professional speechwriter having worked extensively with both corporate and private clients.

He has 20 years of experience in business and industry having held various managerial positions with such major corporations as Mobil, Tenneco, Consolidated Natural Gas and Electronic Data Systems (EDS). He has also held numerous private leadership positions and has served with distinction in local city government. He speaks frequently around the country to various business corporations, government groups, professional organizations, public schools, and institutions of higher learning. Past engagements include: United States Marine Corps Leadership Conference; United States Chamber of Commerce; American Football Coaches Association; Federal Computer Week CIO Summit. Mr. Phillips served three terms as Mayor of Fairview, Texas and continues to take an active role in local community affairs.
