Dave is an author, former television talent coordinator and consultant in Los Angeles and New York, award-winning humor columnist, radio host, entertainment journalist, internationally recognized humor coach and business owner. As an instructor in Continuing Business Education at Cleveland State University, The University of Akron, Youngstown State University and other Halls of Higher Learning, Dave's self-designed courses, Humoring Your Clients: Creative Ways To Communicate Your Message and Creative Ways To Improve Your Presentation Skills, are available as half or full-day training seminars. Los Angeles: Dave's credits include Talent Coordinator for the television show A&E's An Evening At The Improv and the Hollywood Improv Comedy Club. In this capacity, he worked with all the top comedy stars, major television networks, film studios, talent agencies and management companies in coordinating showcase auditions for established performers and up-and-coming comedians. Included in this list are The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Comedy Central, HBO, MTV, Disney, Paramount and many others.
New York: As Talent Booker and Manager of The Original Improv Comedy Club, Dave coordinated comedian auditions for The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, The Today Show, HBO, Cinemax and others. He also performed over 200 times at the famed venue. As a member of The Screen Actors Guild, (SAG), and The American Federation of Television and Radio Actors, (AFTRA), he appeared on Saturday Night Live, numerous daytime soap operas including All My Children and One Life To Live, as well as commercials, nightclubs and theatrical productions.
Cleveland: Dave is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, the author of three books, an award-winning humor columnist, radio host and entertainment journalist. In addition to a wide range of famous comedians, some of his exclusive articles have featured Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, Britney Spears and a "who's who" list of touring performers. He is also an instructor in Continuing Business Education at a number of universities, (listed above). His self-designed courses on public speaking and sales include Creative Ways To Improve Your Presentation Skills and Humoring Your Clients: Creative Ways To Communicate Your Message. After his first two books about inner business workings of the comedy entertainment industry were successfully published for worldwide release by Allworth Press, (Comedy FAQs And Answers), and Back Stage Books, (How To Be A Working Comic), in New York, he founded North Shore Publishing in 2006. The company's first book, The Beatles In Cleveland, has earned best-seller status on Amazon.com, international acclaim and worldwide sales, while keeping Dave busy with guest appearances on radio and television broadcasts from Boston to Honolulu. Dave is also the host of the syndicated radio show, "What's So Funny!" produced in Cleveland, Ohio by Lake Effect Radio. The one hour program airs four times every week and features in-studio appearances by top comedians and family-oriented, (or "clean" as they say in the biz), comedy breaks from best-selling CD's and live performances.
