Her doctorate is in Clinical Psychology and she is a licensed therapist in the State of California. Dr. Picore consulted to Gateways Beit T'Shuvah, affiliated to Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center, for their offender alternative sentencing program.

As a consultant, she is a sought-after threat assessment expert and recognized as an engaging speaker and professional trainer. Dr. Picore assisted in the design of a training program utilized by the City and County of San Francisco and trained numerous employees citywide in the prevention and management of workplace violence.
