Once and forever a Brady! Christopher Knight met life as a child actor, starring as Peter Brady in the Brady Bunch, a baby boomer phenomenon seemingly bigger by the year. A reluctant icon, Christopher has focused his adult years on interests beyond the entertainment industry, particularly the corporate world of computers and high technology. Yet, due to the omnipresent and flourishing legacy of all things Brady, Christopher’s successful endeavors beyond show business exist in peaceful subordination to his portrayal of Peter and his arguably estimable contribution to American pop culture. Ironically, the more success Christopher achieves in the corporate arena the more that success is shared with his other more public persona of Peter. Evidently, being a Brady is inescapable and apparently ageless. So in an act of self-unification, Christopher is returning to his entertainment roots and is seriously exploring his options as an actor, host, spokesperson and erstwhile entertainment figure. Christopher’s plan to re-establish his place in the entertainment industry is not designed to displace his interests in the corporate world. Not coincidently, one of his last commercial endeavor was Casting Networks, Inc., a high-tech Internet service provider serving the entertainment industry. As co-owner and CEO, Christopher exercised the skills he has acquired in the high-tech corporate space to leverage his intimate knowledge of the entertainment industry. Currently he is co-principal in another start-up company this time outside of the technology industry. Christopher’s new venture is Dr. Tattoff, a laser Tattoo removal company (www.DrTATTOFF.com), focused on establishing Dr. Tattoff as the premier Tattoo removal service in the US with near term goals of opening retail locations throughout the nation. Christopher’s work outside the entertainment industry did not constitute a full retirement from show business – he has starred or otherwise participated in the plethora of periodic Brady films, television movies, series, gatherings, discussions and retrospectives, a cottage industry unto itself. Christopher also has exploited his status as an entertainment figure by availing himself to several projects as a host and/or spokesperson. Christopher served as the spokesperson for the American Counseling Association’s 2002 & 2003 “Healthy Skin, Healthy Outlook” campaign. Proudly, this public awareness campaign received the Gold Triangle Award both years Knight served as spokesperson, recognizing excellence in public education of dermatological issues. In 2002-2003 Christopher also was privileged to be the spokesperson for the National Consumer League’s “AD/HD Campaign” speaking in Washington DC at the National Press Club on the sensitive subject of AD/HD (Christopher is an adult with ADD). The campaign’s laudable goal is to broadcast the truth about AD/HD, dispelling myths and tearing down the barriers of ignorance and stigma that prevent AD/HD sufferers from obtaining the proper diagnoses and medical treatments they need. It was in 2003 that Christopher was asked to host a segment on the Travel Channel series’ “TV Road Trip” starring the late John Ritter. When the series was optioned for a second cycle Christopher was offered to “Host” the series. It was in fact this participation that lead to the rekindling of Christopher’s interest in front and behind the camera, thus availing him to more opportunities again as an entertainment figure. Christopher was soon signed up for the celebrity version of Discovery Health Channel’s “Body Challenge,” which debuted in the fall of 2004 and then to his unforgettable participation on VH1’s Surreal Life 4. The explosion of popularity and “new found fame” as a result of Surreal Life 4 has placed Knight squarely back in the spotlight. What was to serve and a hopeful step forward in getting re-established in the entertainment industry, or at the very least, to recalibrate America as to who Knight had developed to be over the intervening years indeed has served as a full blown re-launch of Christopher’s career. Grateful at this unique second opportunity at an acting career, Christopher relishes the chance at experiencing celebrity now as an seasoned, experienced, “fully-baked” adult. Regrettably in November of 2004 Christopher lost his mother to cancer. Christopher is certain the success he is now experiencing is no coincidence; her help is undeniable. Willie Knight was the driving force in Christopher’s earlier career and he is convinced she is working overtime as his special angel agent. 2004 was a defining year for Christopher Knight. Cognizant of his celebrity status and seasoned by maturity, with TV and Film projects now in the works and with his stunningly beautiful Surreal Life co-star Adrianne Curry at his side as his very high-profile girlfriend, Christopher is ready and eager to return more fully to the industry that gave him his start and expand his public identity.
