    Brian Wesbury is Chief Investment Strategist for Claymore Advisors, LLC. Prior to joining Claymore, he served as Chief Economist with Griffin, Kubik, Stephens & Thompson. Brian has 23 years of economic forecasting experience. He has also served as Chief Economist for the Joint Economic Committee of the United States Congress and as an economist for the Chicago Corporation and Harris Bank.

    In June 2005, Brian joined The Heartland Institute as its Senior Fellow for federal budgets, trade, taxes and monetary policy. The Heartland Institute is an independent, nonprofit and nonpartisan research organization based in Chicago. Founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1984, it is an independent source of research and commentary. "Brian Wesbury is one of the nation's most prominent and respected spokesmen for free markets and limited government", according to Joseph Bast, president and CEO of The Heartland Institute.

    The Chicago Tribune has called Wesbury "Chicago's most prominent New Era Economist". The Wall Street Journal ranked Wesbury the nation's #1 U.S. economic forecaster in 2001 and USA Today ranked him as a Top Ten Forecaster in 2004. He is a member of the Academic Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Chicago and an adjunct professor of economics at Wheaton College. Additionally, Brian is economics editor for "The American Spectator, a contributor to The Wall Street Journal Editorial page, and is regularly featured on CNBC and Bloomberg TV.

    Wesbury is author of "The New Era of Wealth: How Investors Can Profit From the 5 Economic Trends Shaping the Future" which was published in October l999. According to Investor's Business Daily, "Investors who take the time to read "The New Era of Wealth" will walk away wealthier for having done so".

    Wesbury earned an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a BA in Economics from the University of Montana.
