Brad Garrett

    Brad Garrett: Profile
    Award Winning Actor / Comedian

Brad Garrett made his foray into the world of television with roles on shows including Rosanne, Mad About You and Seinfeld, though he is best known for his role as Ray Romano's big brother Robert on the hit CBS series Everybody Loves Raymond. In 2002, 2003 and 2005 he garnered Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Also in 2002, Garrett played Jackie Gleason in the critically acclaimed telefilm Gleason, for which he earned an Emmy Award nomination and a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Movie or Miniseries.

Several of Garrett’s film credits include The Pacifier, Music and Lyrics, Suicide Kings and Woody Allen’s Sweet and Lowdown. He also starred on Broadway in Neil Simon’s "The Odd Couple." Most recently, Brad had the honor of working with writer/director David Chase on his upcoming feature, in which Brad portrayed legendary music producer, Jerry Ragovoy.

Garrett has leant his voice to a multitude of characters including Bloat in Finding Nemo, Fatso in Casper, Dim in A Bug's Life, and Gusteau in Ratatouille. He can also be heard in Night at the Museum and as Hookhand in Disney’s Tangled. Brad has just completed voicing the role of Chug in Planes for Pixar/Disney.

Most recently, Brad Garrett’s longtime dream of owning his own comedy club has become a reality with the June 2010 opening of Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club at the Tropicana hotel in Las Vegas. The historic venue, which has hosted comedy for nearly thirty years, was once home to Rodney Dangerfield’s club in the 1980’s. Now Garrett has come full-circle, returning to the city where his own career took off twenty-five years ago to create an unparalleled comedy room on the Strip. He hopes the newly renovated space will provide both legendary comedians and the next generation of comics with a new place to call “home” in Las Vegas.
