    Bob Davies: Profile

Bob Davies grew up in poverty, in a single-parent household with a mother who did not graduate high school. In fact, Bob is the only person in his immediate family to ever graduate high school. His older brother and younger sister both got involved in drugs, but Bob Davies got involved in athletics, and his coach was Bob’s source of expectations, hope, and accountability.

Bob Davies graduated in 1975 from Rutgers University in New Jersey with degree in health. He taught high school and coached for two years before leaving to attend graduate school at Springfield College in Massachusetts. While at Springfield, Bob had the opportunity to coach Olympic athlete Jeff Blatnick, who won the gold medal in Greco Roman wrestling. Bob Davies also was an assistant football coach, while at the same time earning his Master’s in Education degree in Psychology.

Upon graduation, Bob Davies was hired by the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California, as both the head football and head wrestling coach, as well as a researcher. While at Cal Tech, he researched the work of Roger Sperry, who won the 1980 Nobel Peace Prize for his research about the right and left brain. This research led to further discovery of the best techniques for elite performance used by the Bulgarians and Russians.

Bob Davies left Cal Tech in 1979 for an assistant football coaching position at California State University Fullerton, where his techniques helped an average football team to excel and to win two conference championships. While at CSUF, the coaching staff was challenged because all the teams they would be playing had better athletes. The only way to win would be to inspire their team to perform at a high level, and hope to catch other teams performing at a low level, and that is exactly what happened. Together as a staff, the coaches developed a template to enable average athletes to tap into their potential.

It is from this coaching background that Bob Davies studied and formed systems around strategic planning, time accountability, tracking, and setting up systems that enable individuals to tap into the highest level of their potential. Bob Davies has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). Yet, despite this disability, he has achieved many milestones through the use of these techniques.

Bob Davies reveals to audiences how he changed his point of view to break free of his poverty mentality to reach goals in his business, health, and personal life. Bob Davies became a practicing hypnotherapist, and holds the highest credential available in the field of certified personal and professional coaching: Master Certified Coach. Bob Davies has served on the board of the International Coaches Federation, the governing body for coaches, and on their candidate review "ARC" committee. Successfully confronting his fear of heights, Bob Davies became an avid skydiver and instrument-rated private pilot.

Mr. Davies is a professional speaker, and his information is new and thought-provoking. He blasts away myths that have previously been unquestioned, and his principles work immediately. Audiences are put in an accountability system where they will take actions that they ordinary would not have, and they are taught how to bring this system back home to their own set of circumstances.
