Swiss Innovation Forum: Jim was the closing speaker for this prestigious international event. He encouraged the audience of 600 CEO's and other senior executives to rethink the role and importance of innovation, particularly given the impact of globalization, rapid market change, and the rapid emergence of new business models. The World Congress on Quality: Jim provided an opening keynote to an audience of 3,000, opening with the observation that "the high velocity economy drives rapid (consumer / customer / business) change, increases their expectations, which requires faster innovation and a faster more complex economy – which perhaps requires a rethink of quality methodology." The Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association: Jim delivered a dinner keynote for dozens of CEOs of some of the world largest sporting goods companies, taking a look at the new consumer, the new media spend, and the rapidly changing world of sport and leisure markets Motorola: Agility and time to market: ; Jim provided an opening keynote for a two get together of all global R&D team members, which was one of the final steps in their annual strategic planning process. He then led a workshop that examined emerging opportunities, and provided summary guidance on how to provide for innovative flexibility in the high velocity economy in which this company finds itself. Caterpillar: Partnership strategies and avoiding commoditzation: Jim addressed their global dealers meeting, specifically to provide insight into the unique and innovative ways that they can enhance customer relationships in order to reduce the risks of product commoditization. The US Army Corps of Engineers: Creativity and innovation: They had Jim kickoff an annual conference, specifically focusing on how to instill a culture of creativity and innovation. Waters Corp: Global pharmaceutical / medical trends. A global leader in the manufacturing of test equipment for this sector, they featured Jim within a 1/2 day workshop on this issue. Playtex / Banana Boat Outdoor trends: they engaged Jim to undertake detailed , extensive research into the trends affecting their marketplace in the future. The research evolved into a presentation by Jim that was the cornerstone for a New York PR launch event with the world's leading fashion magazines. Based upon the success of that event, they then invited him to provide the same insight at their annual sales conference. Parker Hannifin: Innovation and high performance sales teams: they invited Jim to their annual sales conference, in order that he stir some creative thinking as to how to build innovative, partnership-based customer relationships. The Government Finance Officers Association: Transformation and innovation in the private sector: They invited Jim to address 3,000 members at their annual conference, with a focus on how to rethink the delivery of government services in an era of heightened expectations and reduced funding. Monster Government Solutions,: Recruiting and retention in the 21st century in the era of the emerging skills crisis. Part of the global online Monster recruitment firm, they had Jim keynote their annual Washington conference of senior government human resource executives. Jim spoke on the innovative and creative methods that organizations will have to use to cope with the looming skills crisis, and how to deal with skills cost inflation. Nestle: Innovation and the future of retail. They engaged Jim to provide a concise, detailed overview of the key retail and packaging trends impacting the consumer products industry, and what they must do to establish an innovative, forward oriented culture. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC): The future of media. They had Jim in for two keynotes focused on the future of broadcasting and media. Microsoft brought Jim Carroll in to host a series of CEO/CFO level workshops on behalf of key clients, as well having him provide a keynote for an afternoon session. KPMG booked Jim Carroll to keynote their annual partners conference. They liked him so much, they rebooked him to keynote four client, industry specific conferences (including one on the hotel industry, insurance industry and IT), as well as booking him for a six-city series of client breakfast events, in which he provided his insight into the strategic future of business. GBC Asset Management, a private wealth management firm, featured Jim as the dinner speaker for two events for key clients, which included the CEO's of several Fortune 500 organizations. Jim was asked to provide his insight into the future, with a particular focus on strategic business issues. Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida booked Jim Carroll for a half day workshop on the future trends and issues of e-health for its senior management, as part of a week long leadership program. They found the session to be so useful that they rebooked him for four more workshops. Jim was invited to provide a full day session in Budapest, Hungary, in a session sponsored in part by the office of the Prime Minister, in a session focusing on emerging global economic trends
